Once again India and Pakistan are slated to take on each other on the hockey pitch with Asian Champions Trophy the setting and Malaysia the venue for it. But before the mouth-watering contest, India open their campaign against Japan in the tournament that is into its fourth edition. The now PR Sreejesh-led side won the opening tournament at Ordos in China in 2011.
Now, Asian Games gold medallists and quarterfinalists at the Rio Olympics, India are quite easily the favourites to at least make the finals of the tournament which will play as the qualification round for future Olympics and World Cups.
