Complaints on A/L exam malpractices

Department of Examination has received nearly 40 complaints from  G.C.E (A/L) examination centers island wide on examination rule violations. Most of them are copying the answer sheets by the candidates and investigations  have  already started.

Seven of same family sentenced to death

Nuwara Eliya High Court Judge Lalith Ekanayake on Friday sentenced to death seven members of the same family who were found guilty of the murder of Periyasami Hariraman (33) a father of three, resident on Kothkodiya plantation, Kandapola in February 2004.

Japan hands over Waste Collection Trucks to CMC
